If you’ve ever felt the need to escape Sydney, then Wolgan Valley is just the place for you. A truly unique experience without having to fly to your destination (unless you prefer to arrive via helicopter).
The Wolgan Valley is Emirates first resort in Australia and the first hotel in the world to be carbon neutral. It is located 2.5 hours drive from Sydney past the Blue Mountains.
Upon arrival at Wolgan Valley, you are greeted at the gate and driven to the main homestead to check in.
There are 40 free standing suites, each strategically placed to ensure full privacy.
Wolgan Valley is seasonal – you can enjoy sitting by the fireplace in the winter months, or take a swim in your own private pool to cool off during the summer months.
Bicycles are provided to each guest, or should you prefer the caddys, staff are attentive and will come and collect you from your suite.
The grounds are spectacular – take a bush walk and explore the 4000 acres of beautiful Australian natural flora and fauna that surround the resort.
The Heritage Homestead was built in 1832 and has been restored with great attention to detail. It appears today as it did when Charles Darwin first visited Wolgan Valley in 1836.
The rate is inclusive of all meals, most beverages and two nature based activities per person. I highly recommend the wildlife spotting and star gazing tours . We saw plenty of kangaroos, wallabies and wallaroos.
The perfect weekend (or weekday) escape!
